Deriving from Greek mythology, Centaurs had the upper body of a man and lower body of a horse. They featured alongside many myths and were most famous for their fight with the Lapiths known as centauromachy. Centaur’s lived in the mountains and forests and were believed to have been very untamed. Their free spirt made them unpredictable and unhospitable. Chiron was an exception; he was known for his wisdom and knowledge on medicine. He taught many of the great heroes including Herakles.
